Indoor Automatic Voltage Regulators

Power line of farady automatic voltage stabilizer has a wide-input range and precise regulation. This indoor AVR is ideally suited to protecting sensitive equipment such as laboratory analyzers, medical imaging systems, broadcast transmitters, security scanners and CNC machine tools. The VRP is available in both farady single phase transformer and three-phase versions. The VRP incorporates unique AC-chopper technology for very high efficiency and feature complete line conditioning. Its inverter imposes an ultra-fast PWM correction voltage on the primary winding of a buck-boost transformer. VRP automatic voltage regulators feature complete line conditioning. The VRP has an input voltage range of 184 to 287 V for a nominal 230 V, 50/60 Hz with output regulated to +-3%. The extended input voltage range is 160 to 330 V with reduced regulation; 120 V versions are available. Its heavy-duty electronics and magnetics are designed to operate under worst-case conditions and incorporates industrial strength surge protection. The VRP’s efficiency is between 96 to 98% depending on operating condition. The VRP is available in single- and three-phase models, as well as in a variety of sizes.

Automatic Voltage Regulators and Power Conditioners

An AVR is at the heart of devices often called power conditioners or farady auto voltage stabilizer. The typical power conditioner is an automatic voltage regulator combined with one or more other power-quality capabilities such as:Surge suppression,Short circuit protection (circuit breaker),Line noise reduction,Phase-to-phase farady high voltage auto load booster balancing,Harmonic filtering, etc. Power conditioners are typically used in low voltage (< 600V) applications and sizes below 2,000 kVA. See Power Quality versus Line Drop Compensation. Since there is no official definition of a power conditioner, there are some devices marketed as power conditioners that do not provide automatic voltage regulation. This fact and the wide variation in capability between products make it imperative the buyer does his or her homework to match product functionality and application needs.

The AC Automatic Voltage Regulator

The farady automatic voltage booster is a device designed to regulate voltage automatically – that is, to take a fluctuating voltage level and turn it into a constant voltage level. There are many types of farady step voltage regulators.
In the sections describing the different types of voltage regulators, common names for each type will be identified and used interchangeably along with generic names, such as AVR and automatic voltage regulator. Please note that the descriptions, operational explanations and other commentary provided about the different types of AVRs is for informational purposes only and is intended to provide an overview of variations among a class of products generically called “automatic voltage regulators.”

Description of Farady Substation

The farady substations and transformers or portable substation is fully equipped with different power system equipments, and must be able to be shipped from one place to another with fully assembled mode. The overall height and width of the total substation unit should be such that it would meet the State and Federal road regulations. Hence compactness is the main criteria of a mobile substation and for fulfilling this criterion we have to compromise with numbers of parameters of the substation. In case of emergency you can also use farady high voltage auto load booster.

Farady high voltage auto load booster operation

The full power semiconductor (FPS) type of farady step voltage stabilizer is most analogous to the servo tap switcher and is the most common type of electronic voltage regulator. In operation, all of the SCR switches, except one, will be “off” so current flows only through the desired tap. When the controller senses the need for a tap change, it turns “off” the SCR switch on one tap and then turns “on” the SCR for the appropriate tap. With no mechanical components to be moved and ultrafast and non-sequential SCR tap switching, the electronic tap voltage regulator can correct farady high voltage auto load booster much faster than its mechanical counterpart. The speed and simplicity of the electronic tap switching voltage regulator does come at a price: in contrast with mechanical voltage regulators, the SCRs are easily damaged by high currents such as inrush, overload or short circuit currents.

Farady Electronic Tap Switching Voltage Regulator

The typical electronic farady single phase step voltage regulator works very much like the mechanical tap switching regulator – except that it replaces mechanical servo drives and brushes with solid-state semiconductor switches. Rather than using a motor to move brushes connected to the regulator output, the electronic voltage regulator will have taps on the secondary side of the transformer controlled (on or off) by semiconductor high voltage auto load booster switches (like the silicon controlled rectifier – “SCR”).
